Tending Ground Vision
Tending Ground is rooted in the belief that systems change begins with how we relate to land, each other, and the places we call home. Through consulting, facilitation, and land stewardship, I support efforts and build teams to advance regenerative agricultural systems that are practical, rooted, and resilient—from local farms to national coalitions.
Whether I am co-creating strategy with partners or growing native medicinal herbs, Tending Ground is guided by the same values: care, reciprocity, and the long view. My work bridges policy and practice, soil and systems, offering grounded support to those tending a more just and regenerative future.
Strategy & Systems Design
Helping organizations, funders, and coalitions develop strategies that bridge farm-level realities with systems-level change. Services include coalition-building, multi-year initiative planning, theory of change development, and designing place-based programs that align policy, technical assistance, and markets to support regenerative agriculture.
Facilitation and Convening
Designing and leading collaborative processes that move groups from dialogue to action. Whether guiding a strategic planning retreat, convening cross-sector stakeholders, or supporting a multi-stakeholder working group, I bring structure, clarity, and care to each engagement—ensuring that outcomes are both actionable and aligned.
Farm and Field-Built Insights & Thought Partnership
Drawing from my own farm experience and roots in the regional agriculture community, I help partners connect practice to policy. I offer research synthesis, landscape analysis, and program evaluation that reflect on-the-ground realities, as well as storytelling and strategy support that bridges local work with systems-level transformation.
Tending Ground Botanicals (Coming Soon)
Tending Ground’s consulting work is grounded through the farm. I am restoring an old row crop field into a native meadow and riparian buffer. I will cultivate native medicinals on the restored land and sell alcohol-free tinctures, syrups and teas!
